Turkey Stone

I would doodle on the edge of the paper, between the red line and the spiral. I would then combine these drawings with more doodle art. By the end of class, the tiny space would be full of varying art, making it difficult to distinguish between what was what. The same can be said of the art carved into this stone.

This stone’s artwork, along with most others at IndianRock.art, is a combination of different subject matters. I suppose that it makes total sense, especially when dealing with stones as the canvas. If it were me, I would stock up on stones that already had an artist quality about them. Then, I would carve my intended design, letting the stone’s natural attributes lead the way and as a distinctive feature in the finished product.

The stone in the image is a tool. Held from this position, it served for pecking. If the stone is turned slightly to the rear, as pictured, it looks like a turkey head glancing back. The left eye(right in the image) is the Ouroboros stone featured in a different post, and above there appears to be another depiction. I haven’t studied this stone in depth, but I think that I can confidently state that there is more art to be found.

Giant Sloth Stone

IndianRock.art Sloth Stone – rss, cni, finger tool, multilayered Pleistocene Giant Ground Sloth carved representations, extremely rare, flawless, premium grade

All stones with the IndianRock.art logo are 100% authentic prehistoric indigenous artifacts discovered on the IndianRock.art grounds or discovered by Paul Marak and connected by way of the 33degree Star. IndianRock.art is a recently discovered ancient stone carver site in the Missouri River Basin along Potter Creek, which was once the southern-most edge of the late-Pleistocene glacial icesheet, dating back, starting more than 12000 years ago, when it began to recede northward. The archaeological site is private and managed by Paul Marak: an interior finish carpenter, with extensive knowledge of handtools and dynamic anatomic geometry, as it relates to tool usage and the consequential markings left on stones. …basically, the hilltop is an ancient masons’ workshop, that is now being unearthed as it was left thousands of years ago. And even though I’m not an archaeologist, rockhound, indigenous scholar, or whatever: God knows that I see the geometry and that I know my way around a shop. IndianRock.art: Except no substitute.

Starstone

The thought process takes me right back to this point: I already know the answer; or else, the math wouldn’t line up- or maybe it’s the other way around. For certain though, the shapes of the stones align with the two-dimensional 33degree Star pattern. Because of this fact and because stones aren’t two-dimensional objects, it would seem to reason that a stone used as a mason’s tool, held in various positions, would also align with the 33-degree Star- but in a whole new way. The images shown in this post are of one stone rotated into seven positions that do, in fact, align with the Star. These images were taken a while back. It didn’t occur to me, at that time, that it might have once been in the hands of an ancient stone carver. As a note, I’ll have to hunt that stone down, and check it against my hands. Oddly but par for the course, there are faces of animals carved into the stone that reveal themselves when the stone is rotated to fit into the Star. This is classic IndianRock.art. What is slightly lacking though, is the direction from which the light is shining and the type of light used. I have a hunch that if I reshoot these images, under proper conditions, the ‘what seems to be animal faces’ might speak more honestly about these stone carvers. For sure though- to project some preconceived idea onto these discoveries as if to neatly fit them into a storyline that, in of itself, is arguably vastly incomplete and tends to lean in favor of an archaeological status quo rather than some unknown truth, regardless of the overwhelming evidence.

Naysayers point to pareidolia, like it is some kind of flaw. I see faces in the stones because someone carved them, and someone carved them so that they would be seen. The geometry of the New Star simply emphasizes their authenticity. Pareidolia? What else you got?
